“You said, we are doing”

Response to survey findings in 2017

The feedback patients have given in the National Inpatient Experience Survey has helped the University Hospital Limerick survey committee in developing a quality improvement plan to enhance patient experience, known as “You said, we are doing.” The committee used a process map method, which highlighted the gap between quality improvement work being done by the staff in response to the National Inpatient Experience Survey results and how this was communicated with service users.

This plan served as a way to communicate with patients about their concerns and how the hospital was working to improve upon them. Next steps for this initiative are to keep the posters updated and inform patients of work being done at the ward, hospital, and group levels.
