In response to the 2017 National Inpatient Experience Survey results, South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital implemented the “Hello my name is…” campaign, which is aimed at improving communications between healthcare professionals and patients. The campaign is a patient-centred initiative, which means that the patient comes first.
The “#Hello my name is…” campaign was successful in improving the hospital’s survey results. In order to promote the sustainability of the campaign, it has become a part of employee induction training and education.
