National Care Experience Programme Impact Report 2021 has been published

The National Care Experience Programme Impact Report 2021 highlights the impact of the
programme in terms of actioning the feedback from patients to make changes to healthcare practice and policy.

The National Care Experience Programme (NCEP) has committed to measuring and
reporting on the impact of our work, promoting transparency, evaluating our work against
our stated objectives and demonstrating our effectiveness.

Last year we extended our remit with the development of three new survey programmes.
We will commence implementation of these surveys in 2022, hearing and understanding
about peoples experience of a Nursing Homes, Maternity Bereavement and across all our
services at the End of Life.

The annual National Inpatient Experience Survey took place in September 2021, and was
adjusted to capture experience on experience during the COVID-19 pandemic, 10,743
people shared their experience, you can find out more here.

Over 60 online engagement took place with our community of stakeholders including
information sessions, focus groups and cognitive interviews. We published nine reports and
academic papers that include international reviews of care experience surveys, reports on
our survey findings.
