Based on the findings of the National Inpatient Experience Survey 2017, University Hospital Kerry prepared an informational leaflet for patients who are on a course of antibiotics when discharged. The antibiotics patient information leaflet will now be attached to patients’ prescriptions upon discharge.
This will improve access and distribution of written patient information on leaving hospital. It will also let patients know more about medication side effects and who to contact if something goes wrong.
