The inaugural National Inpatient Experience Survey conference

5 March 2019 Event

The first National Inpatient Experience Survey conference took place today in the Hibernia Conference Centre, Dublin Castle. The theme of the conference, “Knowing what matters to you and doing something about it”, focused on quality improvement initiatives being implemented in hospitals around the country.

The conference highlighted the findings from the 2017 and 2018 surveys and showcase how healthcare professionals, stakeholders and patients can work together to improve experiences for all in our hospitals.

We heard from healthcare leaders, such as Dr. Johnny Walker and Laura Magahy, and learned how they were able to break down barriers to change and how we can all work together to drive improvements.

Patient representatives including Peter Clark, Valerie Cox and Brian Cox spoke about their experience of care. The conference was closed by Minister for Health, Simon Harris.
