The majority of women who gave birth in the National Maternity Hospital said they had an overall positive maternity experience. 85% said their maternity care was good or very good, which is the same as the national average. Women’s ratings of care after birth in hospital were significantly below the national average. Women who gave birth in the hospital rated the other stages as close to the national average.
